Capture One doesn’t recognize the camera
OR
Capture One recognizes the camera but doesn’t fire
- Step 1 – Make sure a battery is properly inserted and charged
- Step 2 – Close the software + the Rodenstock shutter control
- Step 3 – Reinsert or insert a fully charged battery
- Step 4 – Start the shutter control first, then the software
You should hear the camera turn on when starting the software
If you don’t
– Shut everything down and restart your computer, then repeat actions 3 and 4
I did all the primary settings (LCC, white balance) but they don’t apply to the next capture
- Step 1 – In the ‘Next Capture Adjustment’ menu in the Tool panel (Capture tool tab) make sure that ‘Copy from Last’ is selected in ‘All Others’ (see below).
- Step 2 – If ‘Copy from Last’ is selected and the settings still don’t apply to your captures, it might mean that Capture One CH is not recognizing your last picture properly. It can happen when the software quits unexpectedly, for example. You will need to reapply your settings to a Primary Variant.
- Step 3 – Go to your LCC file. Make sure the LCC has been applied by looking at the settings in your Tool panel.
- Step 4 – Copy the LCC adjustments using the upward pointing arrow on the upright toolbar.
- Step 5 – Select your last target image file and copy the LCC adjustments to it by clicking on the downward arrow.
- Step 6 – Your color target image should now be calibrated properly. You know have two options to ensure your next capture will be calibrated appropriately.
1) In your ‘Next Capture Adjustments’ menu change ‘Copy from Last’ to ‘Copy from Primary Variant’ making your target image your Primary Variant.
2) Take a picture of your object. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 by copying adjustments from your color target file and pasting it to the picture you just took. The picture should be calibrated properly. Given it will be your last picture, all consecutive picture should be calibrated properly if ‘Copy from Last’ is selected. - Step 7 – If none of these adjustments work, we would recommend starting from scratch with a new session, new LCC image file, etc.
